Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Deputy Training Programme Director – Radiology (East) to lead and support the Head of School in delivering a wide range of educational functions for the Yorkshire and the Humber region, with a focus on learner supervision, assessment and experience, and workforce well-being.

The role is a secondment remunerated on the NHS Consultant Pay Scale at 0.5PA (2 hours per week) and will be integrated into the Consultant Job Plan with potential future developments in curriculum

Responsibilities

• Ensuring high standards of education and training as defined by the General Medical Council and other national bodies with respect to training posts and education programmes in Yorkshire and the Humber.
• Commitment to national vision, policies and processes for effective educational quality management.
• Recruitment to training posts and programmes and managing postgraduate programme aspects including assessments, progression, rotations, support and remediation.
• Oversee OOP management, trainee management, careers support and LTFT arrangements.
• Provide guidance on OOP, IDTs, LTFT, and acting up applications.
