Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Deputy Nursery Manager to lead and inspire the team at Rubery, Birmingham. You will support the Nursery Manager, mentor staff, and uphold high standards of care across the setting.

You must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and will play a key role in delivering quality provision, with a focus on safeguarding, parent partnerships, and staff development. The role includes a 41.25-hour week and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience in leading or supporting a nursery team is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
• Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations to ensure consistency and quality.
• Act as a role model, fostering initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
• Build strong partnerships with families and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
• Guide the team in implementing the EYFS framework to provide engaging learning opportunities.
• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence and ensure smooth operations.
