Job summary

Storal is seeking a Deputy Manager for Cherry Tree Nursery in Warrington to oversee daily operations, lead the team, and ensure high standards of childcare and early years education.

You will collaborate with the Nursery Manager and Office Manager, ensuring policies, culture, and resources support excellent delivery and staff development.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years Education qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a managerial role within a nursery setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Ability to train and support staff and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the setting has the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver high standards of childcare and early years education.
• Lead learning and teaching improvements and create stimulating experiences for children and staff.
• Promote inclusivity and meet the individual needs of all children in care.

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday 40 hours

Salary: Up to £31,200 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

You’ll have a supportive Nursery Manager, Office Manager and Early Years colleagues to help with the delivery of the Storal curriculum.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

Day to day as a Deputy Manager you will be an intrinsic part of the Nurseries success ensuring the setting has the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver the highest possible standards of childcare and early years education.

You’ll offer solutions where you identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or, creating more stimulating experiences and environments for the children and their educators. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your care are achieved.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent
• Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar
• A strong knowledge and understanding EYFS framework
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together and experienced in providing staff training and support
• Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years)
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
