Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Level 3 Early Years professional to support the Nursery Manager at a Good Ofsted setting in Slough. You will lead the team, oversee daily operations and help maintain high standards across every room.

This full-time role focuses on supervising staff, monitoring planning and safeguarding, and promoting excellent early years practice, with an emphasis on outdoor learning and strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years practitioner with strong leadership and team development skills.
• Experience supporting a Nursery Manager and maintaining high standards of Early Years practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery
• Provide visible leadership and guidance across the setting
• Support and develop Room Leaders and Nursery Practitioners
• Maintain consistently high standards of Early Years practice
• Oversee staffing, deployment and ratios
• Monitor planning, observations and children's development
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures are followed
• Encourage use of the outdoor learning environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Support improvement and help maintain Good Ofsted standards
• Take responsibility for the setting in the Nursery Manager's absence

A strong Deputy Nursery Manager brings energy to the floor, supports the team and helps make sure high standards are consistent across every room.

This welcoming Early Years setting is dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and education in line with the EYFS. Rated Good by Ofsted, the nursery benefits from a large outdoor learning environment, giving children daily opportunities to explore, investigate, get active and learn through first‑hand experiences.

We’re looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years professional who can work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead the team, maintain quality and bring a positive, energetic presence to everyday nursery life.

Supporting the Nursery Manager

• Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery

• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Support continued improvement and help maintain the nursery's Good Ofsted standards
• Take responsibility for the setting in the Nursery Manager's absence
