Job summary

Hearst UK in London is seeking a Deputy Multiplatform Editor for House Beautiful and Country Living to drive the brand’s digital platforms and audience growth. You will work with the Multiplatform Editors to shape content strategy, oversee workflows and provide leadership to the editorial team.

You will edit copy, curate newsletters, and use analytics to identify opportunities, while collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure high editorial standards and commercial success.

Qualifications

• Strong digital copywriting and editing skills with ability to publish high-quality content to tight deadlines.
• Know-how to craft compelling headlines for Google Discover, SEO and social.
• Ability to support multplatform editors in delivering brand digital strategies.
• Proactive self-starter who identifies opportunities and owns projects.
• Interest in homes, interiors and lifestyle content.
• Experience leading writers and freelancers.

Responsibilities

• Work with Multiplatform Editors to optimise workflows across all digital platforms and meet KPIs.
• Edit copy, produce and curate five weekly newsletters, give editorial feedback.
• Line-manage the Multiplatform Writer and develop the broader editorial team.
• Cover for MEs during absences and act as main point of contact for stakeholders.
• Lead daily editorial meetings using analytics to shape publishing priorities.
• Support Apple News, special projects and brand events as needed.
• Manage a pool of freelance writers and oversee commissioning and delivery.
• Communicate Hearst UK's brand vision to PRs, agents and clients.
• Promote the brand through media appearances when required.
• Represent Hearst UK as an ambassador and uphold its values.
