Salutem Care & Education is seeking a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Registered Manager, overseeing daily operations and supporting staff development in a trauma-informed, child-centred residential home. You will lead shifts, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality, personalised support for children to promote resilience and positive life outcomes.

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in residential care.
• Ability to lead shifts, support staff and handle complex situations.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and behaviour support.
• Organised, resilient, calm under pressure and good communicator.
• Willing to work toward Level 5 Diploma.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Registered Manager in leading the home and upholding high standards of care.
• Act as deputy safeguarding lead and manage safeguarding concerns.
• Lead shifts and oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Supervise, develop and support staff.
• Promote trauma-informed, relationship-based practice across the home.
• Oversee care planning and outcomes for young people.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Standards.
• Assist with audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Help with staffing rotas, recruitment, training and performance management.
• Build partnerships with families, social workers, external agencies.
• Ensure accurate records and reporting.
• Contribute to a positive, nurturing and inclusive home environment.
