Job summary

360 Care Group in Exeter is seeking a compassionate Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in day-to-day service delivery across our supported living and community care settings. You will lead staff teams, oversee safeguarding, quality standards and person-centred support to promote independence and positive outcomes for individuals.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in health or social care, and the ability to travel between services.

Qualifications

• Experience working in health or social care.
• Experience supervising, supporting or leading staff teams.
• Good safeguarding, risk management and person-centred care.
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing incidents, concerns, complaints or service issues.
• Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism or behaviours of concern.
• Understanding of strengths-based support, positive risk management and promoting independence.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professional standards.
• Experience using digital care systems and electronic documentation.
• Compassionate, professional and accountable approach to leadership.
• Commitment to dignity, choice, independence and positive outcomes.
• Right to work in the UK and satisfactory Enhanced DBS clearance, where applicable.
• Ability to travel to services and meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day management and smooth running of the service.
• Lead, guide and motivate staff, promoting teamwork, accountability and professional standards.
• Ensure support plans and risk assessments reflect individual needs, choices and goals.
• Support audits, inspections, quality assurance and service improvement plans.
• Monitor records and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support the management, recording and escalation of safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints.
• Promote positive risk management, balancing safety with independence and choice.
• Support recruitment, induction, supervision, performance management and staff development.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families, housing providers, healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
• Support individuals to develop independent living skills, maintain tenancies and access community opportunities.
• Monitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and values-led culture aligned with 360 Care Group's values.
