Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Deputy Manager - RGN for Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield. You will support the General Manager to run a compliant, person-centred home that keeps residents safe, cared for and engaged, while meeting professional standards and business targets.

You will lead and develop the staff team, ensure medication policies are followed, monitor resident wellbeing and care plans, and contribute to monthly audits and clinical meetings.

Qualifications

• Current NMC PIN and a nursing qualification.
• Minimum of two years’ management experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; IT proficiency.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Deputy Manager - RGN at Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield..

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets .

Other responsibilities will include:

• Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.
• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
• Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.
• Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

• Current NMC PIN and a nursing qualification
• Have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position.
• Have excellent leadership and management skills.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and be competent in use of IT systems.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
