Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is recruiting a Deputy Manager for a brand-new supported living service at Elizabeth Close, Oldland Common. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead a staff team and embed Positive Behaviour Support to enable adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live safely in the community.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive, solution-focused mindset, with 40 hours per week and shifts that may include evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Experience leading or supervising staff in a care or supported living setting.
• Level 3 PBS qualification, or willingness to work towards this as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the daily operational running of the service.
• Lead, supervise and develop staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Ensure Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches are embedded in everyday practice.
• Contribute to assessments, risk management and support planning.
• Oversee rota planning, shift coordination and staff allocation.
• Support MDT communication, family involvement and partnership working.
• Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting and governance requirements.
• Help maintain a safe, structured and enabling environment for residents and staff.
