Job summary

Caretech in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Children's Residential Deputy Manager to lead day-to-day operations alongside the Registered Manager and ensure high standards of care. You will supervise Residential Support Workers, oversee safeguarding, Ofsted compliance, and develop personalised care plans for young people, with on-call duties and budget awareness.

Essential requirements include Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Level 5 Leadership and Management, a full UK driving

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• At least two years' experience in a children's residential setting.
• Experience in a supervisory or team‑leading role.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Experience working with children who have experienced trauma, abuse, or challenging behaviours.
• Strong report‑writing and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of person‑centred care tailored to meet the individual needs of each young person.
