Job summary

Keys Childcare operates a residential children’s home in the Crawley area, opening for children with learning disabilities. We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our welcoming leadership team and help deliver high-quality, child-centred care.

You will have at least 2 years' management experience in a residential setting, NVQ Level 3 or above, and a full UK driving licence. You will support budgets, rotas and flexible sleep-ins while helping to shape Keys Connect and future

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a Residential Children’s home.
• NVQ Level 3 or above in children's residential workforce is essential.
• Experience with safeguarding and Ofsted-style requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential home as part of a welcoming leadership team.
• Oversee budgets and rotas with a hands-on leadership style.
• Support development to future leaders and drive positive outcomes for children.
• Be flexible with shifts and sleep-ins as required.

As a Deputy Manager,you will be an integral part of our welcoming and knowledgeable leadership team, being part of a region of children’s homes, with the backing of a growing, national organisation, where you will be actively encouraged to be creative and bring your own unique skills and have the opportunity to influence change.

You will be supported to gain level 5 qualifications, to grow and develop into future leaders and to take on additional responsibilities which will give you the confidence to step up to manage the home when needed.

What do you need?

• A minimum of 2 years’ management experience working within a Residential Children's home as a Senior, Team Leader or Deputy.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or above in children's residential workforce
• Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic.
• A strong people manager with a hands on approach.
• Experience of budgets and rotas.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
