Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a Deputy Manager for Lyric Children's Home in Devon. The role focuses on safeguarding and delivering high-quality care to children with complex needs, supporting staff development and leading key operational areas.

You will work with the Registered Manager, champion reflective supervision, and ensure effective governance while maintaining a supportive, high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
• Willing to take the next step in your career; previous management experience is desirable.
• Registrants and non-registrants considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the home alongside the Registered Manager to ensure effective running and quality assurance.
• Embed a high-performance culture by developing staff skills and capabilities.
• Lead on delegated areas of running the Home and represent the Registered Manager as required.
• Oversee allocation and oversight of care to maintain quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
