Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children and Young People's Service

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £31,600 - £32,800 plus sleep in allowance

Type: Full-Time, 39 hours per week, including weekends and sleep-ins

Role Overview:

As a Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Be an integral part of a caring team, creating a safe and nurturing home environment for children and young people.
  • Assist in the delivery of high-quality care services and contribute to strategic planning for the home.
  • Lead a team in providing therapeutic care, focusing on achieving the best outcomes for each child.
  • Act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships to promote recovery, growth, and lasting change.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, manage work patterns, facilitate training, and ensure compliance with childcare practices and regulations.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working within a Residential Children's home.
  • Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Skills: Strong people management skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Additional: Experience in managing budgets and rotas.
  • Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving license. Please do not apply if you do not have a UK driving license.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts and sleep-ins.
