Job summary

Espoir Recruitment in Luton is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a well-established Children's Learning Disabilities (LD) Residential Home. You will support the Registered Manager, lead the staff team, and help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

The role includes managing care plans, safeguarding, on-call duties, and driving excellent outcomes. Requirements: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare, experience in children's residential settings,

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a Children's Residential setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the overall management of the home.
• Lead and motivate the staff team to deliver outstanding care.
• Ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are consistently maintained.
• Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies.
• Participate in the management on-call rota.
• Support with staff supervision, development, and performance management.
• Promote positive outcomes and independence for children and young people.

Are you an experienced residential childcare professional looking to take the next step into management? We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join a well-established Children's Learning Disabilities (LD) Residential Home in Luton.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support are delivered at all times. You will play a key role in leading the staff team, mentoring colleagues, and helping create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where young people can thrive.
