Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Deputy Manager for our Bryn Irfon care home in a rural Welsh location. 35-46 hours per week; lead staff, deliver person-centred care, and support the Home Manager in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or strong leadership role within supported living, care, or a similar setting.
  • Relevant qualification in health or social care (NVQ Level 3 or Diploma).
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing, motivating, and supporting staff teams.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of person-centred care.
  • Good knowledge of CIW regulations and best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Care Home Manager in the overall management of the facility, including staff management, resident care, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of care staff, ensuring regulatory standards.
  • Oversee assessment, care planning, and implementation of care plans for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality of care, identifying improvements and implementing changes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including resident files, staff rosters, and financial documents.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in meetings and training to develop the team.

Please note, Bryn Irfon is in a rural location with very limited public transport please ensure you would be able to travel to the home before applying.

About Bryn Irfon:

At Bryn Irfon we provide residential support for 8 adults with Learning Disabilities, challenging needs and individuals with communication difficulties. We can also support people who may have Mental Health needs. We work with people with varied abilities and needs. We encourage and motivate each person to feel good about themselves. We enable people to gain confidence and do the things that are important to them and ultimately to lead happy and fulfilled lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Care Home Manager in the overall management of the facility, including staff management, resident care, and administrative tasks.

  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager (or a strong leadership role within supported living, care, or a similar setting)
