Job summary

New Way Recruitment LTD is supporting a well-established care provider to appoint a compassionate Deputy Manager to support leadership of a high-quality adult care service in St Leonards-on-Sea. You will help drive person-centred care, safeguarding and governance across the service.

This role requires proven Deputy Manager experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and a passion for developing teams while maintaining high standards and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the service.
• Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated care team.
• Maintain high standards of person-centred care and safeguarding.
• Support with CQC compliance, audits, quality assurance and governance.
• Monitor care plans, risk assessments and service documentation.
• Support recruitment, induction, supervision and ongoing staff development.
• Manage incidents, concerns and complaints appropriately.
• Promote a positive, inclusive culture focused on the wellbeing and dignity of those supported.
• Step up and provide leadership in the Registered Manager's absence.
