Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Deputy Manager based from our Supported Living services in Bourne, with travel to our Grantham office. You will lead your team to deliver outstanding care for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs.

You will support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations, supervising care staff, conducting audits, maintaining care plans, and liaising with families and professionals to ensure safe, person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and engaging a team of support workers.
• Knowledge of the care sector, preferably in a supported living setting.
• Literate in CQC key lines of enquiry and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Induction of new team members and supervision of existing staff.
• Complete care audits and maintain person-centred care plans.
• Liaise with family members, care professionals and social workers for holistic care.
• Monitor, report and investigate safeguarding risks and ensure mitigation.
• Keep daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes up to date.

In this area you will be supporting your team to deliver outstanding care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs .

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Knowledgeable of the care sector - preferably within a supported living setting
• Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
• Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
• Prior experience leading and engaging a team of support workers.

A day in the life of a Deputy Manager

You will support the Registered Manager, and work closely together to provide consistent operational management, leadership, and oversight . Together you will ensure a safe, caring, responsive , effective, and well-led service to our clients and staff to ensure a high delivery of care .

Your responsibilities will include:

• Induction of new team members and supervision and support to existing team members
• The completion of care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews in care provision for clients as needs change. Your care plans would be person-centred, with focus on dignity and individuality
• Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers and the clients themselves to ensure a holistic and transparent care provision.
• Monitor, report and investigate risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm and ensure processes are in place to mitigate and/or avoid these risks
• Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes are up to date.
