Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Deputy Manager for our Supported Living service in Bourne, with travel to Grantham. You’ll lead a team to deliver high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, ensuring a safe, responsive, and well-led service.

You will supervise induction, oversee care audits, and develop person-centred care plans while liaising with families and professionals. Commitment to safeguarding and strong admin oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Knowledge of the care sector and regulatory frameworks (CQC).
• Experience leading a team of support workers.

Responsibilities

• Induction of new team members and supervision of existing staff.
• Complete care audits; ensure person-centred care plans focused on dignity and individuality.
• Liaise with family, care professionals, social workers and clients for holistic care.
• Monitor and report safeguarding risks and ensure mitigation where possible.
• Maintain up-to-date administrative records (care notes, medication charts, meeting notes).

Job description

In this area you will be supporting your team to deliver outstanding care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Knowledgeable of the care sector - preferably within a supported living setting
• Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
• Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
• Prior experience leading and engaging a team of support workers.

You will support the Registered Manager, and work closely together to provide consistent operational management, leadership, and oversight. Together you will ensure a safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led service to our clients and staff to ensure a high delivery of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Induction of new team members and supervision and support to existing team members
• The completion of care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews in care provision for clients as needs change. Your care plans would be person-centred, with focus on dignity and individuality
• Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers and the clients themselves to ensure a holistic and transparent care provision.
• Monitor, report and investigate risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm and ensure processes are in place to mitigate and/or avoid these risks
• Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes are up to date.
