Job summary

The Hesketh Arms in Rufford, England, is seeking a Deputy General Manager to join our team as we launch post-refurbishment. The role requires supporting the General Manager, developing the team, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You’ll start training on 26 October 2026 for two weeks, with flexibility to train at our sister sites. We offer a competitive package up to £38,000 per year including service charge, plus tips, profit share, and generous staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing teams in a service industry.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with leading the team and operations.
• Develop and mentor staff to deliver best-in-class hospitality.
• Ensure service standards and guest satisfaction are maintained.

Job description

We are looking for a Deputy General Manager to join our team! The role is for our opening post-refurbishment and the candidate must be available to start from 26th October 2026 for our 2-week training period pre-opening. An earlier start can be accommodated working at one of our sister sites for training.
