The Old Orchard in Radcliffe-on-Trent is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in daily home operations. You will lead staff, ensure high quality care, and comply with regulatory standards to promote safe, person-centred support for residents.
Applicants should be working towards or hold an NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care level 3/5, with an understanding of safeguarding, CQC regulations and the Mental Capacity Act.
The Old Orchard is a picturesque 5-bedroom bungalow situated in the large village of Radcliffe-on-Trent, overlooking the River Trent! We support adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities with associated sensory needs to live the life they love!
The individuals we support here at The Old Orchard love all things cooking, we're often found in the kitchen cooking up a storm and making all sorts of culinary delights! We love meeting up with friends from other services and spending time out at the local coffee shops and parks. We love getting stuck into arts and crafts, and love kicking back and relaxing whilst watching an in house show! The local area also has lots of lovely countryside to explore and small shops, cafes and pubs to socialise in too!

As a Deputy Manager you will assist the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the home, this includes ensuring that the needs of the service users are met, managing the staff team, monitoring the quality of care and support, ensuring high standards of professional practice, whilst achieving compliance with external regulatory standards.
Reporting to the Registered Manager, the post holder will work to ensure that specialist and quality care and support for service users is maintained through assisting in the planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of service user care and support. The Deputy Manager's will also be required to ensure that policies, procedures, systems and workplace practices are fully implemented and consistently applied.
You will be passionate about motivating and empowering your team and encouraging their development. You will also be an inspiring role model, leading by example, imparting knowledge, championing best practice and promoting new thinking, enabling the team to help the people we support to make choices and decisions, live each day to the fullest and develop life skills along the way.
We are looking for a highly motivated team member who will either have or be working towards NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care level 3/5. Experience of working with individuals with communication difficulties is desirable. A sound working knowledge and understanding of CQC Regulations and Standards, the Mental Capacity Act and the Deprivation of Liberty Standards is also desirable.
