Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting a Deputy Manager for a 2-bed Emotional Behavioural Difficulties home in Knowsley, Liverpool. You will lead daily operations, supervise the care team and help shape individual care plans to support young people’s safety and progression.

The role is full-time and on-site, requiring strong safeguarding knowledge, empathy, and excellent communication to foster a nurturing, structured environment. On-site leadership is essential to coordinate care and external partnerships.

Deputy Manager (Children's Home - Emotional Behavioural Difficulties)
Location: Knowsley, Liverpool
Salary per annum: £29,052 plus £60 per sleep (£16.14ph)
Setting: 2 Bedded EBD home

This full-time, on-site Team Leader position sits at the heart of daily care-helping young people feel safe, supported, and set up for positive outcomes.

What you'll be doing as a Deputy Manager:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of a 2-bedded children’s home supporting young people with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
• Supervising the care team and helping ensure consistent, high-quality support
• Developing and implementing care plans that reflect individual needs
• Coordinating with external agencies to support well being and progress
• Maintaining a safe, supportive environment in line with safeguarding expectations
• Providing direct care and support when needed, fostering a nurturing atmosphere
• Supporting positive transitions and encouraging young people towards goals for adult life
