An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager for a children's home in Hinckley. This role involves supporting children with emotional and behavioral needs, fostering independence and social skills. You will collaborate with the Registered Manager to ensure a safe and nurturing environment while leading a team and promoting positive experiences for the service users. We have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join a lovely children's home in the Hinkley area, accommodating children with emotional and behavioural needs.
Working with the Registered Manager, you will support the team in this fantastic new home supporting children & young people who face risks around exploitation, by identifying and responding to harm and abuse posed to them outside of their home environment and understanding the importance of intervention. You will support up to 3 service users to experience opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships, and develop confidence, independence, and social and emotional skills.
Main duties
You will build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
You will work in partnership and build relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals.
You will hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or above, and will be willing to work towards Level 5. You will also have some experience of supervising staff within a similar environment, along with sound knowledge of OFSTED legislation.
