Job description

About the role

As our Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the home to reach or exceed goals while ensuring the provision of high-quality care. You will oversee the care staff and assume full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.

You will assist in training and supervising care staff, help with pre-admission assessments, ensure care plans and records are up to date, and maintain effective communication with residents' families and other organizations.

Reports to: Home Manager

Skills and attributes

  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care.
  • Ability to identify referral pathways for safeguarding adults/abuse.
  • Good knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with care professionals, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs involving service users and families.

Education and qualification

  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience - essential.
