Job summary

Renaissance Care (Scotland) is seeking a Deputy Manager for Benvie Care Home to lead 40 hours per week. You will support the Home Manager, supervise staff, and maintain high-quality care through hands-on leadership and clear communication.

You must be a qualified registered Nurse (NMC) with SVQ4 Management or willing to achieve it, and have at least one year in a similar role. The role offers a competitive pay of £26.06 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• SVQ 4 Management qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Minimum 1 year in a similar role.
• Ability to lead in the absence of the Home Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Home’s operation to meet or exceed targets while delivering high-quality care.
• Supervise care staff and take over full management in the Home Manager’s absence.
• Train and supervise staff through direct teaching and example.
• Contribute to pre-admission assessments and ensure care plans and daily records for residents are maintained.
• Liaise with relatives and external agencies.

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team at Benvie Care Home for 40 hours per week.

As Deputy Manager you will assist in managing the Home’s operation in order to meet, or exceed targets whilst ensuring high quality care is delivered. You will be responsible for the management of staff in the care home & expected to take over full management in the absence of the Home Manager.

You will help train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work through direct teaching and by example. You will be involved in assisting the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring residents care plans and daily records are maintained for each resident and promoting good liaison with the relatives of residents and outside agencies.

You are a qualified registered Nurse with a current NMC registration. You have SVQ 4 Management qualification or are willing to work towards this. You are currently working in a similar role and have been for at least one year. You are able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and lead them in the absence of the Home Manager.
