Job summary

Renaissance Care Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager for Benvie Care Home to cover 40 hours per week. You will support the Home Manager, oversee staff, and ensure delivery of high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team.

You will train staff, assist with pre-admission assessments and care plans, and maintain close liaison with residents’ relatives and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Qualified registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• SVQ 4 Management qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Currently working in a similar role for at least one year.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team at Benvie Care Home for 40 hours per week.

As Deputy Manager you will assist in managing the Home’s operation in order to meet, or exceed targets whilst ensuring high quality care is delivered. You will be responsible for the management of staff in the care home & expected to take over full management in the absence of the Home Manager.

You will help train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work through direct teaching and by example. You will be involved in assisting the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring residents care plans and daily records are maintained for each resident and promoting good liaison with the relatives of residents and outside agencies.

You are a qualified registered Nurse with a current NMC registration. You have SVQ 4 Management qualification or are willing to work towards this. You are currently working in a similar role and have been for at least one year. You are able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and lead them in the absence of the Home Manager.
