Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in a holistic, child-centred, and trauma-informed way to help them achieve their full potential? We are looking for enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated Deputy Managers to join our growing complex care service across Hereford and Worcester.
We provide residential care for children and young people who have experienced challenging circumstances and adverse conditions. Join us to work within a confident and experienced care team, collaborating with clinical and educational colleagues to improve outcomes. You will work directly with children who have been victims of exploitation, neglect, and have complex care needs, focusing on rebuilding resilience, managing risks, and creating a safe and bright future. You will also coordinate with external agencies such as social care, police, and other partners to ensure safeguarding and wellbeing.
All youth workers receive comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and supervision to support their roles.
Assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose, deputise in the absence of the registered manager, support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people, undertake direct work, manage child protection concerns and complaints, collaborate with other professionals, and provide supervision and support to senior staff in line with standards.
This role may involve working shifts, including some weekends and sleep-ins.
At least 3 years’ experience in residential children’s care, including supervisory experience.
