Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Deputy Manager for Barnet Grange Care Home in Barnet. You will support the General Manager to run a compliant, person-centred home that is safe, caring and stimulating for residents and visitors.

The role requires at least two years in a similar care environment in a management position, strong leadership, effective communication, IT competence, and flexibility to cover various tasks at short notice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar care environment in a management position.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; competent in IT systems.
• Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Support with medication policies and review medication administration.
• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Complete monthly audits and quality indicator reports.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets .

Other responsibilities will include:

• Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.
• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
• Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.
• Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.
