Agincare is seeking a Deputy Manager for a brand-new supported living service in Oldland Common (near Bristol) to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs as they transition from hospital settings to living independently.
The role is full-time (40 hours) with a salary up to £34,000 per year. You will lead a small team, embed PBS, and work with families and MDTs to plan care and risk management.
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in peoples lives? Were looking for an experienced, confident and values-led Deputy Manager to join our brand-new team at Elizabeth Close in Oldland Common. This bespoke supported living service will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs as they move out of specialist hospitals or secure environments and take their next steps towards living safely and independently in the community. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new service from the ground up, and play a leading role in supporting individuals with complex needs to grow and thrive. Oldland Common is a newly built development offering six self-contained homes for adults aged 18 and over. The service is designed for people with high levels of complexity, including behaviours that challenge, communication differences, autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and, in some cases, forensic histories. Our aim is to support people to resettle successfully into the community, develop independence, build meaningful routines and live safe, fulfilling lives. Support is typically delivered on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, depending on the needs of each individual.
The Deputy Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager and helping lead a team that provides safe, structured, and person-centred support. Responsibilities include supporting the Registered Manager with daily operations, leading and supervising staff, ensuring Positive Behaviour Support approaches are embedded, and contributing to assessments and support planning. The role requires supporting MDT communication, family involvement, and partnership working, as well as ensuring documentation and incident reporting. Applicants should have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, managing complex risks, and leading a care team.
Agincare, celebrating 40 years of caring for communities, is a rapidly growing, family-owned care provider with over 5,500 team members. As one of the UKs largest care providers, Agincare delivers services through care and nursing homes, home care, extra care, and supported living across more than 170 locations nationwide. Agincare is committed to supporting care leavers and the Armed Forces community, offering guaranteed interviews to service leavers and members of the military community. All services are regulated by the CQC, and Agincare is an equal opportunities employer, encouraging applications from diverse backgrounds.
