Job summary

Right Match Recruitment Group is recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager for a prestigious care provider based in Bedford. This full-time, permanent role offers a rewarding career in mental health, learning disabilities and autism with scope for progression.

You will support the Manager, supervise a team of Support Workers, model compassionate, person-centred care and contribute to care planning and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willing to work towards one).
• Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work alone or in a team.
• Excellent communication and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in delivering a professional, flexible, high-quality service.
• Supervise and lead a team of Support Workers to promote independent lives for service users.
• Role model compassionate, person-centred care and provide regular feedback to staff.
• Engage with service users, families and professionals while maintaining confidentiality.
• Contribute to planning and implementing individual support plans.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Support the Manager in delivering a professional, flexible, and high-quality service
• Supervise and lead a team of Support Workers to ensure service users live fulfilling and independent lives
• Act as a positive role model, inspiring staff to deliver compassionate and person-centred care
• Conduct regular supervisions and provide feedback to staff
• Engage actively with service users and staff, continuously seeking improvements in care and support
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of individual support plans
• Maintain effective communication with service users, families, and professionals while respecting confidentiality
• Work as part of a dedicated team to provide safe, high-quality carePersonal Characteristics

Personal Characteristics

• Diploma in Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards one.
