Progressive Independence is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to support the operation of a children’s home, ensuring safe, therapeutic care in line with regulatory standards. You will work with the Registered Manager, develop a capable staff team and maintain high standards of care and compliance.

The role focuses on leadership, safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement, with 40 hours of protected management time and active on-site involvement as needed.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager in a residential children’s home.
• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
• Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding requirements.
• Proven experience leading, supervising and managing staff.
• Experience supporting operational management of a children’s residential service.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day management of the home in partnership with the Registered Manager.
• Deputise during periods of absence and develop a professional staff team.
• Oversee staff supervision, recruitment, induction and development.
• Ensure safeguarding, care planning and risk management are robust.
• Oversee audits, quality assurance, records and Ofsted readiness.
• Support coordination of staffing, compliance and regulatory requirements.
