Job summary

Lime Tree Education Search Ltd is assisting a specialist independent school in South Manchester to appoint a Deputy Headteacher for an immediate start as part of its development. You will work closely with the Headteacher to shape the strategic direction and lead day-to-day leadership across the provision, with a focus on SEND, SEMH and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS and meaningful senior leadership experience.
• Experience in SEND, SEMH or complex learning needs.
• Willingness to work towards NPQSL/NPQH.

Responsibilities

• Lead school improvement, self-evaluation and quality assurance.
• Oversee teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum development.
• Ensure provision meets EHCP needs.
• Safeguarding, wellbeing and personal development.
• Staff leadership, coaching, performance management.
• Collaborate with families, local authorities and other professionals.
• Manage staffing, timetabling, resources and risk.
• Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
