Job summary

Lime Tree Education Search Ltd is assisting a large specialist independent school in South Manchester to recruit an Assistant Head of School to join the leadership team and help drive school improvement.

You will work with the Head of School on teaching standards, safeguarding, pastoral care and staff development, with opportunities to lead on behaviour, attendance and pupil engagement across the provision.

Qualifications

• Experience leading staff and improving school performance.
• Strong understanding of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Experience with pupils with SEND and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the School Improvement Plan and strategic priorities.
• Monitor and develop the quality of teaching and learning.
• Lead or support behaviour and attendance systems.
• Support pastoral interventions and pupil engagement strategies.
• Contribute to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Act as a line manager and contribute to staff development.
