Job summary

New Milton Infant School invites applications for a Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo to join our Senior Leadership Team. You will lead inclusion across the school, champion SEND needs and drive school improvement while maintaining a strong classroom presence and valuing relationships with children and families.

You will contribute to safeguarding, manage SEND interventions and collaborate with external agencies to secure the best outcomes for our pupils.

Qualifications

• Passion for inclusion and securing the best outcomes for every child.
• Hold NASENCO or be willing to undertake the qualification within the required time frame.
• Successful leadership experience within a primary school setting.
• Experience leading SEND provision and inclusive practice.
• Able to inspire, motivate and support colleagues.

• Works collaboratively with staff, governors and the wider community.
• Shares commitment to safeguarding and high expectations for all children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Headteacher in providing strategic leadership and direction.

• Drive school improvement initiatives and contribute to self-evaluation and development planning.
• Support staff through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
• Contribute to safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing.
• Deputise for the Headteacher when required.

• Manage statutory assessment processes andannual reviews where required.
• Ensure compliance with the SEND Code ofPractice and relevant legislation.
• Champion inclusive practice and develop staffexpertise in meeting the needs of all children
