We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager to join our Estates Capital Projects team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our built environment and make a tangible difference across Trust sites.

As the Deputy to the Head of Estates Capital Projects, you will play a pivotal role, working full-time on-site and reporting directly to the Head of Estates Capital Projects. Your extensive experience in delivering capital construction projects within healthcare environments will set you apart, alongside your excellent financial acumen, communication skills, and ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide leadership and management for the Capital Project Team, collaborating with senior managers within the Directorate to oversee the capital programme and assist in addressing the Estates Backlog projects across all Trust sites.
  • Partner with Trust stakeholders to develop project schemes, while managing procurement processes, supervising design teams, and ensuring accountability for financial performance, project timelines, quality delivery, and the development of business cases.

Essential criteria

  • Professional Knowledge acquired through a degree or equivalent and specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses and experience to Masters Degree equivalent Plus an in depth managerial, financial, and strategic knowledge;
  • Degree in Engineering, Building Related Subjects;
  • Full Membership of Professional Institution or min 5 years Senior Management experience in Healthcare Capital Project works.
