Job summary

Serco Limited in Bristol is seeking a Deputy FM Manager to oversee day‑to‑day maintenance at HMP Ashfield. You will lead skilled teams, deliver planned and reactive works, and ensure safety, compliance and reliable operations in a demanding environment.

The role requires experience in facilities management or engineering, ideally with electrical or HVAC qualifications, and knowledge of Building Management Systems and CAFM. Contractor management and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing maintenance teams in FM/engineering environments.
• Ideally qualified in electrical or HVAC discipline with strong technical knowledge.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and CAFM systems.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of maintenance plans meeting statutory, contractual and operational requirements.
• Plan, prioritise and allocate maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor workflow, productivity and quality; provide guidance and challenge.
• Lead and develop maintenance colleagues; promote a culture built on Trust, Care, Pride and Innovation.
• Oversee contractor activities; ensure compliance with risk assessments, method statements and quality standards.
• Manage budgets and procurement; deputise for Manager when required.
