Job summary

Cabinet Office, No10 North, is seeking a Deputy Director (SCS1) to lead the Rewiring the State Unit. Based in Manchester, you will shape devolution policy and delivery across departments, and work with the Prime Minister, Ministers and senior officials to translate commitments into a clear strategy and deliverable programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead work across Departments to drive commitments in the Rewiring the State Cabinet Statement.
• Shape priorities with Ministers and senior officials for the Prime Minister's agenda.
• Provide high-quality, timely written and verbal advice to senior leaders and Ministers.
• Build influential relationships with domestic policy departments, Offices for the Nations and Mayors.
• Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary unit with an inclusive culture and clear objectives.
• Accountable for resources, workforce planning, risks, assurance and delivery standards.
