Job Description
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO and SLT, advising on financial strategy, performance, and investment.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling aligned with organisational goals.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support commercial decisions and service development.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks/opportunities, and support corrective actions.
- Develop pricing models and cost recovery strategies for commercial contracts.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, charity regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare and present management information packs and financial reports to senior stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or finalist with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working cross-functionally with non-finance teams.
- Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modelling) and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to start this role immediately
Desirable:
- Knowledge of charity/social enterprise financial frameworks (SORP, Gift Aid, Restricted Funds).
- Experience with SaaS business models, unit economics, and customer profitability.
- Familiarity with public sector commissioning (e.g. NHS, local authorities).
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools.
- Understanding of social impact reporting and ESG metrics.
