Job summary

Ofgem, the energy regulator for Great Britain, is seeking a Deputy Director of Future Organisation and Operating Model to define what the organisation should become and to prepare it for future challenges. You will influence structures, culture and ways of working at an organisation-wide level, reporting to the CEO and working with the Board to shape long-term direction.

Qualifications

• Experience shaping strategy and leading complex organisational change.
• Track record of developing and implementing organisational strategies, operating models, organisational design or transformation programmes.
• Ability to turn complex evidence and strategic priorities into practical plans.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Help define what Ofgem needs to become and ensure we’re ready for the challenges ahead.
• Influence Ofgem at an organisation-wide level, determining structures, culture, capabilities and ways of working.
• Work closely with the Chief Executive, Executive Committee and Board to shape Ofgem’s long-term direction.
• Influence some of Ofgem’s most important strategic decisions.
• Challenge thinking, bring fresh ideas to the table and leave a lasting legacy on how Ofgem operates.
• Help define a brand-new team from the ground up, including its culture and ways of working.
• Establish how the team collaborates and creates impact across Ofgem.
• Build a team and working environment that reflects your experience, ideas and leadership.
• Tackle complex, high-profile work that defines what comes next for Ofgem.
• Work on questions that will shape Ofgem for years to come.
