Job summary

Ofgem, the energy regulator for Great Britain, seeks a Deputy Director to shape the future organisation and operating model at a pivotal moment. You’ll influence structures, culture and capabilities at an organisation-wide level, collaborating with the CEO, Executive Committee and Board to steer long-term decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience shaping strategy and leading complex organisational change.
• Track record of developing organisational strategies and operating models.
• Ability to turn evidence and priorities into practical plans.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Help define what Ofgem needs to become and ensure we’re ready for the challenges ahead.
• Influence Ofgem at an organisation-wide level, determining structures, culture, capabilities and ways of working.
• Work closely with the Chief Executive, Executive Committee and Board to shape Ofgem’s long-term direction.
• Influence some of Ofgem’s most important strategic decisions.
• Challenge thinking, bring fresh ideas to the table and leave a lasting legacy on how Ofgem operates.
• Help define a brand-new team from the ground up, including its culture and ways of working.
• Establish how the team collaborates and creates impact across Ofgem.
• Build a team and working environment that reflects your experience, ideas and leadership.
• Tackle complex, high-profile work that defines what comes next for Ofgem.
