We are seeking an experienced leader to join the Environment Agency as Deputy Director for Environmental Markets & Regulation. This role involves providing strategic leadership and management of operational teams responsible for regulating market-based environmental schemes, including waste, carbon, hazardous materials, and international waste shipments.
The successful candidate will work closely with government, industry, and regulators to deliver high-impact services, develop operational standards, and provide technical regulatory guidance. They will also lead on stakeholder engagement, manage complex political and regulatory environments, and champion diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing within their teams.
