Overview
The role is responsible in conjunction with the Clinical Care Manager for the management of the nursing, pharmacy, clinical rota and business intelligence teams, ensuring appropriate services are delivered effectively to the entitled patient population. Through innovative ways of working and strong leadership, the role ensures robust processes are in place that are compliant with NHS contracting and maximise financially incentivised enhanced services to support the sustainability of general practice.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct line management to the Business Intelligence Team and Clinical Care Team Leaders
- Support and oversee the administrative elements of enhanced services, Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) and other services to ensure contractual requirements are met
- Oversee the delivery of public health campaigns (e.g., influenza vaccination) ensuring effective delivery of services
- Maintain a robust recall system to maximise patient contact and effective management
- Provide non-clinical support to the Clinical Pharmacist and nurse leads
- Monitor performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Complete effective staff appraisals with objectives aligned to the PCN strategy goals
- Remain up to date with all national and local guidance
- Schedule and chair regular team meetings, appraisals, 1:1s, with mechanisms to feedback ideas to maximise a high‑performance culture
- Guide staff and develop searches and audits on the clinical system
- Review and update clinical templates relevant to current practice
- Identify and proactively address training needs
- Provide Management support to designated working sites
- Collaborate closely with other Deputy Managers

ROLE PURPOSE
The role, in conjunction with the Clinical Care Manager, manages the nursing, pharmacy, clinical rota and business intelligence teams, ensuring services are delivered effectively to the patient population. It promotes innovative ways of working, robust processes compliant with NHS contracting, and maximises financially incentivised enhanced services to support sustainability of general practice. It also supports the wider management team in promoting ED&I, SHEF, Quality & CI, Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and Development and ensuring the practice complies with CQC regulations.

Experience
- Experience of project management, including planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Experience and knowledge of change management or quality improvement principles, methodologies and tools
- Evidence of experience working to tight deadlines

Qualifications
