We have delivered over 1,500 homes and support local businesses, with ongoing projects like Phase Three in the Poland Street area, adding 500 more homes. We manage over 1,000 rental homes across several buildings, serving a diverse community of professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs.

The Role

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer will support the Chief Operating Officer in maintaining high standards of operational management, performance, and service delivery across all organizational aspects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deputize for the COO in daily operations and team management, providing leadership and oversight.
2. Monitor systems and procedures for compliance and efficiency.
3. Identify and recommend performance improvements to meet organizational goals.
4. Support an inclusive culture promoting professional development and staff retention.
5. Assist in planning and monitoring budgets to optimize rental income and reduce voids.
6. Lead specific projects to forecast business needs and strategic planning.
7. Act as the first contact for emergency planning and response, reporting to the COO as needed.
8. Support resource planning and internal audits for compliance.
9. Respond to customer complaints following standard procedures.
10. Stay informed on legislative changes affecting operations.

Requirements

1. Minimum of five years experience in residential lettings, preferably in a Build-to-Rent environment.
2. Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.
3. Experience with legal processes related to debt collection and breach of tenancy.
4. Exceptional customer service skills.
5. Experience managing commercial tenants and understanding lease obligations.
6. Membership of ARLA or equivalent property management qualification.
7. Understanding of repairs, maintenance, and building safety regulations.
8. Ability to diagnose problems and anticipate issues.
9. Strong leadership skills and personal integrity.
