We have delivered over 1,500 homes and brought many independent businesses to Manchester. Currently, we are in Phase Three, continuing the regeneration with 500 more homes and managing over 1,000 rental homes across several buildings.

The Role

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer will support the Chief Operating Officer in managing daily operations, ensuring high standards of performance and service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deputize for the COO in operational management and provide leadership.
2. Monitor systems and procedures for compliance.
3. Identify improvements to enhance performance.
4. Promote an inclusive culture and staff development.
5. Assist in planning budgets to maximize rental income.
6. Support short, medium, and long-term business planning.
7. Handle emergency planning and reporting.
8. Assist with resource planning and internal audits.
9. Respond to customer complaints appropriately.
10. Stay informed on legislative changes affecting operations.

Qualifications

1. Five+ years experience in residential lettings, preferably in Build-to-Rent.
2. Knowledge of landlord and tenant law.
3. Experience with debt collection and breach of tenancy processes.
4. Exceptional customer service skills.
5. Experience managing commercial tenants and understanding lease obligations.
6. Membership of ARLA or equivalent property management qualification.
7. Knowledge of repairs and maintenance for BTR landlords.
8. Understanding of the Building Safety Act.
9. Problem-solving skills and foresight.
10. Business planning and regulatory knowledge.
11. Strong leadership and integrity.
