Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking an Experienced Deputy Chef Manager or Sous Chef to join Belmont View, a welcoming 85-bed care home in Hoddesdon. This hands-on leadership role supports the Chef Manager, delivering nutritious, comforting meals while maintaining high kitchen standards and resident satisfaction.

You will lead by example, develop the team, and contribute to a caring, values-driven workplace where quality matters daily.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Experience in food preparation, cooking and service.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Willingness to complete relevant training and ongoing CPD.

Chef Manager we are looking for a passionate and well-organised to support the Chef Manager and take lead in our kitchen, creating nutritious, comforting meals our residents can truly enjoy. This is a hands‑on leadership support role where your culinary flair and organisational skills will make a genuine difference every day - bringing warmth, care and quality to every plate.

What You'll Bring

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
• Knowledge of food safety standards and safe working practices
• Willingness to complete relevant training and ongoing CPD
• Experience in food preparation, cooking and service
• Familiarity with hygiene standards in a professional kitchen
• Ability to prepare homely, nutritious meals that meet a wide range of dietary needs
• A teamâ€'focused attitude and good communication skills, An Overseas Police Check/ Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 Months or more, spent a significant period overseas, or worked abroad in a position of trust. This will be in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
