Quantum Care is seeking an Experienced Chef to join our Pinewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford as a Deputy Chef Manager. This full-time role offers 37 hours per week, a competitive salary and the chance to lead a kitchen team in a caring environment.

You’ll oversee daily kitchen operations, prepare a variety of dishes to high standards, support staff, manage production and stock, and ensure food safety and hygiene across the site.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Willingness to complete relevant training and ongoing CPD.
• Experience in food preparation, cooking and service.
• Familiarity with hygiene standards in a professional kitchen.
• Ability to prepare homely, nutritious meals that meet a wide range of dietary needs.
• A team‑focused attitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Support and guide kitchen staff, helping to build skills and confidence.
• Manage food production processes to maintain smooth workflow and quality control.
