Job summary

Sense is hiring a Deputy Manager to support people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments at our Dunmurry service. You will work alongside the Registered Manager, coaching and mentoring a team of support workers to ensure the service runs smoothly day-to-day.

This permanent role is 36 hours per week, 9am-5pm Mon-Thu and 9am-3:30pm Fri (alternative patterns considered). Salary is £31,122 per annum full-time, pro rata for 36 hours, with one weekend per month after settling in.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in health and social care.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 or Level 5 is desirable, or willingness to work towards this in post.
• Organised, flexible, and effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the service.
• Supervising, coaching and mentoring the team, including supervisions, team meetings and inductions.
• Planning and managing the rota, including shift coordination and covering absence.
• Supporting people day to day alongside the team.
• Monitoring performance, and contributing to staff training and development.
• Keeping accurate records and making sure policies, procedures and compliance requirements are followed.
• Overseeing health and safety, and promoting the independence, wellbeing and safeguarding of the people we support.
