Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking a Deputy Branch Manager in Hull Hesslewood to lead and develop a high-performing team, drive local growth, and ensure strong risk management and compliance. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on relationship management across corporate and private clients.

You will work closely with the Branch Manager to deliver the branch strategy, manage a Private Banking portfolio, and foster trusted relationships within the local community and with introducers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a Private Banking portfolio with full accountability for business performance.
• Strong focus on lending (mortgages), wealth and deposit growth, and customer relationships.
• Demonstrated success in business development and new relationships.
• Desire for people leadership with coaching and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch strategy with Branch Manager to drive growth and profitability while ensuring customer service excellence.
• Originating and growing Private Banking relationships through referrals, introducers, and networks.
• Promote cross-selling of wealth management, savings and mortgages.
• Partner with internal teams to deliver Handelsbanken services with integrity and risk discipline.
