An established local authority is seeking a Deputy Accounts Payable Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery in Accounts Payable tasks. We are central to the ongoing economic and social development of the city, facilitating payments and developing processes for suppliers and internal departments involved in the Godiva Festival and City Centre South developments. Additionally, the team contributes to improving services for Adult's and Children's Social Care, Public Health, and Homelessness strategies.

The Deputy Accounts Payable Manager will ensure the effective completion of Accounts Payable tasks within procedural and audit guidelines, providing a high-quality service. In the absence of the AP Manager, you will deputise in relevant activities, including meetings and return-to-work discussions. The role also involves managing the daily pay run processes and liaising with the recovery audit team to recover potential duplicate payments, unallocated credits, and VAT overpayments.
