Job Description

Requirements
  • You will be GTCS Registered (Secondary).
  • Proven and successful experience in leading developments (curricular and staff development), quality assurance, and in a leadership role.
  • Required to obtain RC Church approval. For more information, visit https://sces.org.uk/church-approval/.
Responsibilities

You will assist in the effective leadership of the school and deputise in the absence of the Head Teacher as needed. The specific duties of the Depute Head Teacher are detailed in the attached Job Description.

The Individual
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge of curriculum development in Scotland and an up-to-date understanding of Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Experience with a range of classes and involvement in current educational developments.
  • Evidence of professional learning in various areas.
  • Good management, leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, caring approach and a commitment to young people.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join or update the PVG Scheme prior to employment.
