We are seeking a Depot Transport Manager to join the Belfast Evri team, sharing our passion to delight customers.

The Depot Transport Manager (DTM) is responsible for executing the depot's transport operation plan and developing a high-performing team of drivers. As a key holder on the depot's O License, you will oversee safety, legal and regulatory compliance, and policy adherence for all vehicles related to the depot.

The DTM will collaborate with depot management and colleagues to achieve targets related to people, service, cost, and quality performance.

1. Maintain budgeted costs and plan fleet operations according to forecasted volumes. Control driver costs and ensure high standards of vehicle and equipment maintenance through audits and compliance checks.
2. Develop robust BAU and peak transport planning processes, accounting for contingencies to ensure smooth operation.
3. Manage all transport costs, resources, maintenance, repairs, and CPU with support from the DGM.
4. Lead accident investigations professionally and promptly when necessary.
5. Ensure legal compliance in documentation and systems, including vehicle servicing, regulatory requirements, driver hours, tacho downloads, and training (drivers CPC, MHE, manual handling).

Skills & Knowledge

• Full Driving License
• Essential Transport Manager CPC National Certificate
• IOSH Qualification
• 2-3 years minimum experience in transport management, with strong knowledge of legal compliance, drivers’ hours, and WTDs
• Experience with transport management systems and tachograph analysis
• Experience in drug and alcohol testing
• Experience managing a large, diverse team in a 24/7 operation
